15 Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he entered with Jesus into the court of the high priest,16 but Peter stood outside at the door. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the servant girl who kept watch at the door, and brought Peter in.17 The servant girl at the door said to Peter, “You also are not one of this man's disciples, are you?” He said, “I am not.”18 Now the servants and officers had made a charcoal fire, because it was cold, and they were standing and warming themselves. Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself.
John 18
25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him, “You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.”26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Did I not see you in the garden with him?”27 Peter again denied it, and at once a rooster crowed.

54 Kαι αφού τον συνέλαβαν, τον έφεραν και τον έβαλαν μέσα στον οίκο τού αρχιερέα. Kαι ο Πέτρος ακολουθούσε από μακριά.55 Kαι καθώς άναψαν φωτιά στο μέσον τής αυλής, κάθησαν όλοι μαζί, καθόταν δε και ο Πέτρος ανάμεσά τους.56 Bλέποντάς τον, όμως, μία δούλη να κάθεται κοντά στο φως, και αφού τον κοίταξε προσεκτικά, είπε: Kαι αυτός ήταν μαζί του.57 Kαι εκείνος τον αρνήθηκε, λέγοντας: Γυναίκα δεν τον γνωρίζω.58 Kαι ύστερα από λίγο ένας άλλος βλέποντάς τον, είπε: Kαι εσύ είσαι απ’ αυτούς. Kαι ο Πέτρος είπε: Άνθρωπε, δεν είμαι.59 Kαι αφού πέρασε περίπου μία ώρα, ένας άλλος ισχυριζόταν, λέγοντας: Στ’ αλήθεια, και αυτός ήταν μαζί του· επειδή, είναι Γαλιλαίος.60 Kαι ο Πέτρος είπε: Άνθρωπε, δεν ξέρω τι λες. Kαι αμέσως, ενώ αυτός μιλούσε ακόμα, λάλησε ο πετεινός.61 Kαι ο Kύριος, καθώς στράφηκε, κοίταξε τον Πέτρο στα μάτια· και ο Πέτρος θυμήθηκε τον λόγο τού Kυρίου, όταν του είχε πει ότι: Πριν λαλήσει ο πετεινός, θα με απαρνηθείς τρεις φορές.62 Kαι ο Πέτρος, βγαίνοντας έξω, έκλαψε πικρά.

66 And as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came,67 and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You also were with the Nazarene, Jesus.”68 But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you mean.” And he went out into the gateway and the rooster crowed.69 And the servant girl saw him and began again to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.”70 But again he denied it. And after a little while the bystanders again said to Peter, “Certainly you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.”71 But he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know this man of whom you speak.”72 And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept.
Matthew 26
69 Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came up to him and said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.”70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you mean.”71 And when he went out to the entrance, another servant girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.”72 And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man.”73 After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Certainly you too are one of them, for your accent betrays you.”74 Then he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know the man.” And immediately the rooster crowed.75 And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.
