Ιστορία του Nathan

Nathan the prophet stands before King David, presenting the parable of the poor man’s beloved lamb. In the vision above Nathan, a man tenderly holds his sheep while a soldier stands nearby, pointing to the injustice hidden beneath David’s sin against Uriah. David listens from his throne-side place of authority, crowned yet exposed by the prophet’s words.

The scene draws from 2 Samuel 12, where God sends Nathan to uncover David’s adultery with Bathsheba and the arranged death of Uriah. Nathan’s story leads David to condemn the wrongdoing before hearing the piercing judgment: “You are the man.” The artwork emphasizes prophetic rebuke, repentance, moral accountability, and the mercy of God that begins with truth.
