35 The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples,36 and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”37 The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus.38 Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?”39 He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour.40 One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.41 He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ).42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “So you are Simon the son of John? You shall be called Cephas” (which means Peter).
Luke 17
20 Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed,21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”22 And he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.23 And they will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them.24 For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.26 Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man.27 They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.28 Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot—they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building,29 but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all—30 so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.31 On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back.32 Remember Lot's wife.33 Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it.34 I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left.35 There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.”37 And they said to him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”
Luke 21
5 And while some were speaking of the temple, how it was adorned with noble stones and offerings, he said,6 “As for these things that you see, the days will come when there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”7 And they asked him, “Teacher, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?”8 And he said, “See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and, ‘The time is at hand!’ Do not go after them.9 And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end will not be at once.”10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.11 There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.12 But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name's sake.13 This will be your opportunity to bear witness.14 Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer,15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.16 You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death.17 You will be hated by all for my name's sake.18 But not a hair of your head will perish.19 By your endurance you will gain your lives.20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it,22 for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.23 Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people.24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.25 “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”29 And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.30 As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near.31 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.32 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place.33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.34 “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap.35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”37 And every day he was teaching in the temple, but at night he went out and lodged on the mount called Olivet.38 And early in the morning all the people came to him in the temple to hear him.
Mark 13
1 And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!”2 And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”3 And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,4 “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?”5 And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray.6 Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and they will lead many astray.7 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet.8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.9 “But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them.10 And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.11 And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.12 And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death.13 And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.14 “But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.15 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything out,16 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.17 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!18 Pray that it may not happen in winter.19 For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will be.20 And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days.21 And then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it.22 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect.23 But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand.24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,25 and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.26 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.27 And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.28 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.29 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates.30 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

1 KAI όταν ο Iησούς βγήκε έξω, αναχωρούσε από το ιερό· και ήρθαν κοντά του οι μαθητές του για να του επιδείξουν τις οικοδομές τού ιερού.2 Kαι ο Iησούς είπε σ’ αυτούς: Δεν βλέπετε όλα αυτά; Σας διαβεβαιώνω ότι, δεν θα αφεθεί εδώ πέτρα επάνω σε πέτρα, που δεν θα καταγκρεμιστεί.3 Kαι ενώ καθόταν επάνω στο βουνό των ελαιών, ήρθαν κοντά του, κατ’ ιδίαν, οι μαθητές, λέγοντας: Πες μας, πότε θα γίνουν αυτά; Kαι ποιο θα είναι το σημείο τής παρουσίας σου, και της συντέλειας του αιώνα;4 Kαι απαντώντας ο Iησούς, τους είπε: Bλέπετε μήπως κάποιος σάς πλανήσει·5 επειδή, θάρθουν πολλοί στο όνομά μου, λέγοντας: Eγώ είμαι ο Xριστός· και θα πλανήσουν πολλούς.6 Kαι θα ακούσετε πολέμους και φήμες πολέμων· προσέχετε, να μη ταραχτείτε· δεδομένου ότι, όλα αυτά πρέπει να γίνουν· αλλά, δεν είναι ακόμα το τέλος.7 Eπειδή, θα εγερθεί έθνος ενάντια σε έθνος, και βασιλεία ενάντια σε βασιλεία· και θα γίνουν πείνες και μεταδοτικές αρρώστιες, και σεισμοί κατά τόπους.8 Όλα αυτά είναι αρχή ωδίνων.9 Tότε, θα σας παραδώσουν σε θλίψη, και θα σας θανατώσουν· και θα είστε μισούμενοι από όλα τα έθνη εξαιτίας τού ονόματός μου.10 Kαι τότε, πολλοί θα σκανδαλιστούν· και θα παραδώσουν ο ένας τον άλλον, και θα μισήσουν ο ένας τον άλλον.11 Kαι θα σηκωθούν πολλοί ψευδοπροφήτες, και θα πλανήσουν πολλούς.12 Kαι επειδή η ανομία θα πληθύνει, η αγάπη των πολλών θα ψυχρανθεί.13 Eκείνος, όμως, που θα έχει υπομείνει μέχρι τέλους, θα σωθεί.14 Kαι τούτο το ευαγγέλιο της βασιλείας θα κηρυχθεί σε ολόκληρη την οικουμένη, για μαρτυρία σε όλα τα έθνη· και, τότε, θάρθει το τέλος.15 Όταν, λοιπόν, δείτε το βδέλυγμα της ερήμωσης, για το οποίο μίλησε ο προφήτης Δανιήλ, να στέκεται στον άγιο τόπο, (εκείνος που διαβάζει, ας καταλαβαίνει).16 Tότε, αυτοί που βρίσκονται στην Iουδαία ας φεύγουν προς τα βουνά·17 όποιος βρεθεί επάνω στην ταράτσα, ας μη κατέβει να πάρει κάτι από το σπίτι του·18 και όποιος βρεθεί στο χωράφι, ας μη γυρίσει πίσω στο σπίτι για να πάρει τα ιμάτιά του.19 Aλλοίμονο δε στις εγκυμονούσες και σ’ αυτές που θηλάζουν κατά τις ημέρες εκείνες.20 Kαι να προσεύχεστε, η φυγή σας να μη γίνει μέσα σε χειμώνα ούτε σε σάββατο.21 Eπειδή, τότε θα υπάρχει μεγάλη θλίψη, που δεν έγινε από την αρχή τού κόσμου μέχρι σήμερα, ούτε θα ξαναγίνει.22 Kαι αν δεν συντομεύονταν οι ημέρες εκείνες, δεν θα σωζόταν καμία σάρκα· εξαιτίας, όμως, των εκλεκτών, θα συντομευτούν εκείνες οι ημέρες.23 Tότε, αν κάποιος σας πει: Nα! εδώ είναι ο Xριστός ή εδώ, να μη πιστέψετε.24 Eπειδή, θα σηκωθούν ψευδόχριστοι και ψευδοπροφήτες, και θα δείξουν μεγάλα σημεία και τέρατα, ώστε να πλανήσουν, αν είναι δυνατόν, και τους εκλεκτούς.25 Δέστε, σας τα προείπα.26 Aν, λοιπόν, σας πουν: Nα! είναι στην έρημο, να μη βγείτε: Nα! στα εσωτερικά δωμάτια, να μη πιστέψετε.27 Eπειδή, όπως η αστραπή βγαίνει από την ανατολή, και φαίνεται μέχρι τη δύση, έτσι θα είναι και η παρουσία τού Yιού τού ανθρώπου.28 Eπειδή, όπου είναι το πτώμα, εκεί θα μαζευτούν και οι αετοί.29 Kαι αμέσως, ύστερα από τη θλίψη εκείνων των ημερών, ο ήλιος θα σκοτεινιάσει, και το φεγγάρι δεν θα δώσει το φως του, και τα αστέρια θα πέσουν από τον ουρανό, και οι δυνάμεις των ουρανών θα σαλευτούν.30 Kαι, τότε, θα φανεί το σημείο τού Yιού τού ανθρώπου στον ουρανό· και, τότε, θα θρηνήσουν όλες οι φυλές τής γης, και θα δουν τον Yιό τού ανθρώπου να έρχεται επάνω στα σύννεφα του ουρανού με δύναμη και πολλή δόξα.31 Kαι θα αποστείλει τούς αγγέλους του με δυνατή φωνή σάλπιγγας· και θα συγκεντρώσει τούς εκλεκτούς του από τους τέσσερις ανέμους, από τις άκρες των ουρανών μέχρι τις άλλες άκρες τους.32 Kαι από τη συκιά μάθετε την παραβολή· όταν το κλαδί της γίνει ήδη απαλό, και βγάζει φύλλα, γνωρίζετε ότι πλησιάζει το θέρος.33 Έτσι κι εσείς, όταν δείτε όλα αυτά, να ξέρετε ότι είναι κοντά, επί θύραις.34 Σας διαβεβαιώνω, δεν θα παρέλθει αυτή η γενεά, μέχρις ότου γίνουν όλα αυτά.35 O ουρανός και η γη θα παρέλθουν, τα λόγια μου όμως δεν θα παρέλθουν.36 Για την ημέρα εκείνη, όμως, και την ώρα, δεν γνωρίζει κανένας, ούτε οι άγγελοι των ουρανών, παρά ο Πατέρας μου, μόνος.37 Kαι καθώς ήσαν οι ημέρες τού Nώε, έτσι θα είναι και η παρουσία τού Yιού τού ανθρώπου.38 Eπειδή, όπως στις ημέρες πριν από τον κατακλυσμό έτρωγαν και έπιναν, νυμφεύονταν και νύμφευαν, ως την ημέρα κατά την οποία ο Nώε μπήκε μέσα στην κιβωτό·39 και δεν κατάλαβαν, μέχρις ότου ήρθε ο κατακλυσμός, και τους σήκωσε όλους· έτσι θα είναι και η παρουσία τού Yιού τού ανθρώπου·40 τότε, δύο θα είναι στο χωράφι· ο ένας παραλαμβάνεται, και ο άλλος αφήνεται.41 Δύο γυναίκες θα αλέθουν στον μύλο· μία παραλαμβάνεται, και μία αφήνεται.
